Amy Gelber Demo

Amy was our April guest potter. She presented a slide show of her work and her time spent  at Shigaraki, Japan. She spent a year as an artist – in – residence in Japan. While there she studied Japanese ceramics technique and shared studio space with various Japanese artist and other international ceramic artist. Her work depicts both her love of the functional objects and her desire to make sculptural figurative work.  She demonstrated several of her technique on the wheel and hand building.
