J Rowe has a BS in Studio Art from State University college in Brockport, NY where she grew up. She moved to the Raleigh area in 2007 with her husband and son. She has spent over 30 years exploring new techniques and styles with clay. She is now the Studio Manager and a teacher at Ceramica in Cary, and spent the prior 10 years teaching and managing the studio at The Clayton Community Center. Many of her pieces are inspired by Mexican Day of the Dead culture and Folk Art in general. She sells her work on Etsy, Facebook, Instagram and a couple of outdoor shows in the area. She exhibited her work at Sertoma Arts in January 2020.
