I started my pottery journey before kids, but parenting and a full time corporate job
caused me to take a long pause. When I retired a few years back (yay!), I found the
time to dive into my passion again.
I make mostly functional pieces, and mostly wheel thrown, but I do some hand building
occasionally. I’m am mostly at Sertoma Arts Center, and love the community and
teachers there.
I’m an avid follower of Amoco, Mayco, and Spectrum FB glazing groups, and often try
different glaze combinations and techniques for fun. I’ve transformed my once
“corporate home office” into a home glazing, carving, and Mishima space, and this gives
me great satisfaction! The top of my old desk is filled with brushes and carving tools;
and I found that drawers that once held files in my desk, can now fit single stacks of
Amoco glaze bottles, and double stacks of Mayco and Spectrum bottles!
