Matt Hallyburton

Matt Hallyburton works out of his studio in Old West Durham. A native to North Carolina, his work is rooted in western North Carolina’s rich pottery tradition. He uses native clays, traditional glaze recipes and a wood burning kiln to lend a sense of place to his dinnerware that is used in contemporary restaurants throughout the south.
