Lee Kazanas has been a Studio Potter for over 40 years. Working primarily in functional high-fired stoneware and porcelain, he has had his works featured in dozens of gallery shows, throughout his career. For many years he also owned and operated a regional craft gallery in the Adirondack mountains of Northern New York.
Now living in North Carolina he is looking forward to exploring new directions in clay. In the past few years Lee has worked to developed a number of interesting cone 6 glazes and is pursuing a new palette of colors and techniques. To further explore these new directions he is currently renovating an old historic house and building a woodworking shop and clay studio in Moncure, NC.
