Andy McKenzie Graduated from Fontbonne College in St
Louis with an MFA in ceramics in 1998. He was lucky
enough to find a job teaching art at Suffield Academy, a
small private boarding school in Connecticut. During his
16 years there, the ceramics program grew from a small
craft kiln and four students to more than 30 students, 3
electric kilns and a medium sized wood kiln. After making
the move south to Raleigh, Andy has been slowly setting
up his own studio at home and teaching at Sertoma Arts
Center.
Andy will present Yixing teapots and trick so scale down
your work. He will demo small closed forms and a
process for dry fitting and trimming lids for a perfect fit.
